I'm a multidisciplinary designer from Kathmandu. I work across product design, UI/UX, graphic design, and illustration โ usually somewhere between making things work, making them look good, and figuring out what makes them interesting.
I'm Serena, a designer from Kathmandu and a Computer Science graduate from Taylor's University. My work sits at the intersection of design, technology, and visual creativity โ from shaping digital products and interfaces to creating illustrations, graphics, and visual experiences.
I've worked across product and visual design, including product experiences at Watobu & Progressive Labs and graphic design at Jeevee. Having a technical background means I enjoy understanding how things work just as much as deciding how they should feel.
But design isn't the only way I make things. I sketch, illustrate, experiment with visual ideas, build costumes and props, and generally have a hard time leaving an interesting idea alone.
I like work with a point of view โ whether it's a product, a poster, an interface, or something I made just because I wanted to see if I could.
UX first, UI always โ but the problem comes first.
A few moments I'm proud of along the way โ from a fast-paced design makeathon to being recognized by my team and my school.

Design doesn't really stop when the workday does. I sketch, illustrate, make costumes and props, experiment with graphics, and occasionally disappear down a creative rabbit hole.
